The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine MA BORIM has set forth a training requirement for physicians and other health care professionals who serve an adult population. Developed in collaboration with the Alzheimers Association.

Back in 2014 the Alzheimers Association helped shape a regulation in Massachusetts that requires facilities to provide dementia-specific training for staff. During this time the Alzheimers Association is available to you 247 for around-the-clock care and support. These modules are facilitated by Dementia Specialist Tammy Pozerycki. The cost of the webinar training is 350 200 non-profit rate and includes a description of the curriculum changes and a complimentary training manual. The regulation applies to any facility or unit that uses any word term phrase or image or suggests in any way that it is capable of providing specialized care for residents with dementia.
